Diabetes Bible Study - Friendship

Proverbs 27:9

Friendship and diabetes management?  What could those two things possibly have in common?

Actually, the two do have something in common.  They compliment each other.  Have you ever had a problem with your diabetes management plan and really needed another person with diabetes to talk to? This type of friendship is worth a great deal when you need advice and  feelings of empathy that only another person with diabetes might have.

Where can you find friends like this?  Be open to all avenues.  God may lead you to friendships in your community, or you may find friends online that fulfill the requirements of what you need.

Make good use of the diabetes related friendships you have.  Try to stay in touch with these people, and seek their counsel whenever you think you need it.  A good friend is one part of a diabetes management plan that is hard to replace…so take care of these relationships.
