DIabetes Bible Study - God Is Your Hiding Place
Remember when you were a child and might to into your secret hiding place where you felt safe
and warm? When diabetes is in your life (in any way) and you find that you're not coping. Well, God can be the "hiding place" you
need. A place where you know you're loved, safe and warm.
Psalms 32:7
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of
deliverance. Selah.
Me? Looking for a hiding place? At first I thought it would only be something I’d do when I’m afraid
or trying to stay away from danger. Then I thought about my life and everything in it…the diabetes, my weight problems, etc…..and then I
thought, “Why should I hide?” Then it hit me….I SHOULD hide sometimes. Hiding isn’t a bad thing as long as I’m hiding in the
arms of the Lord.
In times of trouble when we don’t know what to do or where to turn we have a place to go. We
might have a day when the doctor gives us bad news. Or we might not be able to pay our bills or get our diabetes supplies.
Maybe our spouse is giving us a rough time….or whatever the trouble might be. Knowing there is a place we can go to hide can be a
lifesaver.
So, recognize God as your hiding place. He’s that one place you can to that will ALWAYS be open,
waiting, supportive, encouraging, motivating, inspiring and hopeful.
